Ep 22: The Poseidon PlanThis episode is yet another attempt to make some clear Transformers references, all while taking ACT in its own direction. Clearly, Poseidon's plan is lifted directly from Transformers: The Movie. I'm still curious how this episode's gag would translate to someone who had never seen the film. Poseidon's characterization is finally clear as day in this episode -- clever and scheming, yet lazy, selfish, and strangely obsessed with bad 1980s sitcoms. It seems awfully convenient that there's a fighter jet hanger right there in the next room in this episode, but this fact is never contradicted. The NECTBA Unicron is kept there in later episodes, and the space is eventually converted into a new control room, but none of this contradicts the idea that this was originally a jet hanger. Even when Fred bursts through those doors while making his first appearance, you never see what's behind him. Episode 22 marks the beginning of the semi-regular update schedule that would continue until the final episode, with two episodes posted each weekend. It was published on February 22nd, 2003 along with episode 23.
