Ep 33: FredificationAt about this point, I was beginning to realize that I really didn't like where this story arc was going. As I've mentioned earlier, Poseidon's actions were making him too unlikable in my opinion, and my political sentiments in the last episode weren't lightening things up either, so I needed to steer off this course and take the arc in a sillier direction. At the same time, if Poseidon wasn't going to become a serious villain, where was the conflict in this story? What would the Autobots be trying to do? Naturally, I turned to the one thing I'd been doing right at the time. Fred's current B plot was cracking me up far more than the Autobot's A plot was, so it made total sense to combine the two. I'm relatively pleased with the result (especially the next episode), but it might have been fun to have taken Fred's rise in the music industry a little further without the Autobots getting in the way. Two things that really bother me about this episode: 1. In panel 2, you can see the Unicron Wanna-Be's legs beyond the edge of the set. Oops. 2. In panel 5, Prime cracks too many jokes, and none of them are particularly funny. I have a tendency to insert too much into a single panel at times, and it really messes with the flow of the entire episode.
